In an exclusive interview, Putin’s spokesman stated that Ukraine « He does not want or is unable to » observe the arms suspension arrangements. As he claims, Russia – unlike Ukraine – suspended the attacks on energy infrastructure after a festive truce. Pieskov pointed out that, according to the Russian constitution, four regions – Doniecki, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporoski – are considered an integral part of the Russian Federation.
As he emphasized, The condition for the end of hostilities is the withdrawal of the Ukrainian armed forces from these areas. At the same time, he referred to the results of the referendums carried out there, claiming: – From our point of view it is both de iure and de facto.
According to Piesków, Russia still has an advantage on the front and does not intend to give it up. « We want to achieve our goals and this will happen – diplomatically or by military path, » he said.
