Russia: We knocked over 260 Ukrainian drones …
On Wednesday, Russia announced that her anti -air defense had knocked over 260 Ukrainian drones, including some that were approaching Moscow, and airports in the capital were briefly closed for flight safety. No victims reports. While Russia, Ukraine, the United States and European forces discuss the ways of ending the conflict in Ukraine, which lasts for more than three years, the struggles have intensified on some parts of the front line and the drones continued.
In a series of announcements, the Russian Ministry of Defense on Telegram stated that the anti -aircraft defense had intercepted or destroyed at least 262 Ukrainian drones on Wednesday. Most of them were above the western regions of Russia bordering Ukraine and Central Russia.
But some approached the Moscow region where 21 million people live. Three main airports in the region briefly stopped flights and then continued to operate.
The Ukrainian army stated that their drones hit the Bolkhovski semiconductor factory, suppliers in the Orjoli region Russian manufacturers of fighter jets and missiles.
Moscow and Kiev seek to buy and develop new drones, innovatively distribute them and devise new methods for their disabling and destruction, from agricultural shots to electronic distractions.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that their forces progressed at the key points along the front line, and the crisp war bloggers said that Russia had broken through the Ukrainian lines between the staff and the Kostjantinine in the Donetskian region in the east of Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zeleni said in his night video that the hardest battles on the front line were around the cover and did not mention any Russian progress.
Zelensky said that Ukrainian forces remained active in two Russian regions along the border – Kurska and Belgorod.
Reuters could not independently check the reports on the battlefield on either side.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday visited the Kurska region for the first time since Moscow stated that the Russian forces expelled Ukrainian troops from the area last month.
In February 2022, Putin sent tens of thousands of soldiers in Ukraine, and Russia now controls slightly less than a fifth country.
