Russia and China oppose warfare in space and nuclear warfare
Russia and China in a joint statement opposed the attempts of individual countries to use the universe for potential armed conflicts, and also confirmed the commitment to the statement of the leaders of the five countries with nuclear weapons of 2022 to prevent a nuclear war.
« We oppose the attempts of individual countries to use the universe in order to arm confrontation and will oppose security policy and activities aimed at achieving military superiority and official recognition and use of space as a combat space, » the statement said.
In addition, the statement urges countries with nuclear weapons to take concrete actions to prevent nuclear war and arms race.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Si Jinping have earlier today signed more than 20 cooperation documents, including a statement of deepening of the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between the two countries.
Chinese President Si Jinping has said China and Russia should continue to deepen practical cooperation in various fields and lay solid foundations for comprehensive strategic cooperation.
