Rushi Vidinliev will be a gatsby in a theatrical performance on Fitzgerald’s novel

The author of dramatization and director is Elitsa Yovcheva. One hundred years after the publication of one of the classic novels in world literature, she wants to explore myths about dreams that they can inspire but also destroy, the theater noted.

They recall that the Great Gatsby was first published in 1925, four years before the collapse of US stock markets and the beginning of the great depression and depicts a society destroyed by money, greed and insatiability. The novel reflects the American dream of happiness and individualism, pursuing wealth and brilliance at all costs. And as Fitzgerald writes on his pages – « No flame, no charm can be measured with the ghostly desire that one is able to hide in his heart. »

In addition to Rushi Vidinliev, actors Angelina Slavova, Ventseslav Dimitrov, Monika Ivanova, Niya Krasteva, Svetoslav Dobrev, Stefan Dodurov, Teodor Nenov, Yaroslava Pavlova, Kancho Kanev, Victoria, as well as dancers desislava participated in the performance. Ekaterina Veleva and Mikhail Bonev.

The music will be created by Vladimir Ampov-Graf, who returns as a composer at the Youth Theater « Nikolay Binev ». At the end of March, the pop artist won the Icarus Award for Author Music for the Pippi Long Sock, which also brought him a nomination for Askeer.

The set design will be the work of Prof. Svetoslav Kokalov, and the costume designer is Alexandra Jotkovska. Stefania Georgieva will take care of the choreography. The audience will also be able to see the video design created for the show by the visual artist Petko Tanchev.
