Rubio: We will know soon if Russia wants peace
US Secretary of State Marko Rubio said in Brussels today that it will be known in a few weeks whether Russia wants peace in Ukraine or not.
After a two -day meeting of NATO foreign ministers, Rubio told reporters that US President Donald Trump « will not fall into the trap of endless negotiations for negotiations. »
Rubio added that Ukraine has expressed readiness for a complete ceasefire in order to create « space for negotiations », French media reported.
« We will know very quickly -in a few weeks, not in a few months, whether Russia is serious for peace or not, » Rubio said.
US Foreign Minister also said that Kiril Dmitriev, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s special envoy, will come to the United States this week, which will be the first visit by a senior Russian official of Washington from the beginning of the Russian offensive against Ukraine in February 2022.

Rubio also said today that the United States will not allow Greenland, the largest island in the world to become Denmark, to become dependent on China.
« We will not allow China to enter and offer a lot of money to become dependent on it, » Rubio said of the Danish autonomous territory that Trump wants to annex.
He also referred to the visit of US Vice President Jay-Di Vance to Greenland at the end of March, causing sharp reactions from Denmark.
