Romanian Presidential Candidate demands compensation for assistance from Ukraine

The leader of the far -right Romanian Alliance for the Romanian Union (AUR), George Simion, who won the first round of the President of Romania’s election, requires Ukraine to compensate for its assistance from Ukraine.

Simion stated that his position on Russia’s invading war against Ukraine is « neutrality, not escalation and not supplying weapons, but joining Trump’s policy. »

He repeated that he opposed further assistance to Ukraine, instead of winning the election of President of Romania, « will focus on his own population. »
« Ukraine needs us, not us Ukraine. Ukraine must respect the Romanian community that live in Ukraine. We want to compensate for Romania for now in hostilities, » Simion said.
A far -right Romanian politician said that the form of such compensation could still be discussed.
« But for Patriot systemgiven by Klaus Johannis as a national betrayal, and other expenses that the Romanians have made from our own pocket, we have to get something in return, » – says the candidate.
We will remind, on May 4, the first round of the presidential election was held in Romania, as a result of which the leader of the far -right George Simion won, who won, who scored 40.94%and the liberal mayor of Bucharest Nikusher Dan – 20.99%.
