Romance has little chance in this cinema week

What a collaboration: the connection of the Luxembourg film company Les Films Fauves With the director Wang Bing and his three-part documentary project « Youth », it was really successful as a unique cooperation. From this, cinema fans can discover a bit more: even if the last part « homecoming » like its predecessors At the international festivals like in Cannes and Venice has already been seen, part two comes under the title « Youth – Hard Times » Now officially in the Luxembourg rule cinema program.

A tip for real film fans: On May 4th, the entire documentary trilogy will be shown at 10 a.m. in the Ciné Utopia. What is part two? In 227 minutes, the director traces hiking workers from rural provinces who are employed in China’s clothing factories. He shows a generation that fights for naked survival. Is there hope?

To China it goes in « Caight by the Tides ». In the drama, Qiao Quiao is looking for her disappeared love. In 25 years and a long journey through the country, she will get closer to herself than her past.

A woman looking for her anchor and inner peace is also in “The Outrun  » In the foreground: Rona, once fled from Scotland to London, returns to her home country. But she takes alcohol addiction – and the fight against it.

Action and thriller cinema is available in triple execution: in the war film « Warfare » The real time of a navy seals unit 2006 is relentlessly traced in real time.

And in « The amateur » the CIA bureaucrat Charles Heller (played by Remi Malik), which was actually not trained for the operation, wants to bring the man to the way, who is responsible for his wife’s death.

At least some humor comes with the horror comedy « Death of a Unicorn » into play. Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd come too close to a unicorn that is quickly on the launch list because of his magical forces.

And the very young film fans? They have three films to choose from: the Dream Works animation film « Dog man » To a dog superhero, a cinema sequence (52 minutes) of the originally Russian 3D animation series « Masha et Michka » To an adventure of the girl and the bear in an amusement park and « Moon the Panda » – a then heartwarming story about a boy who gains a panda as a friend.
