Robert’s Fime Album The Silent Voice will premiere in Gora / Day

Pianist Robert Fimit describes the concert program as follows: « I tried to show listeners to the great diversity of modern and postmodern music in the Baltic States. While studying at Julseard School in New York, I often collaborate with the Baltic composers abroad. Today, while living and working in Finland Like Arvo Perth, Peter Wax, Eric Eschenwald or Broons, Kutavich represents an imaginary and united style of his country’s music or the main aesthetic direction.

Concert program The Silent Voice (Quiet voice) will be GORS at Latgale Embassy The premiere and presentation of the album recorded 2024, which will feature contemporary Latvian, Estonian and Lithuanian authors – Janis Petrashkevich, Linda Leimane, Helena Tulve, Marianna Līkas, Raimondas Žiūtaites, Richo Maimeta, Morning Mazza, Morning, showing the modern and postmoderious. The producer of the album sound was conductor, obojist and record producer Normunds Schne.

Robert was born and raised in Florida. He has begun to learn the piano at the age of four with his father. He later graduated from both the Bachelor and Master’s studies at Juljard. He came to Latvia in 2021 to study piano at the Jāzeps Vītols Academy of Music. He is known as the « innovative musical thinker » and a dynamic interpreter in both the canonical and contemporary repertoire. He has performed in 25 US states and 17 countries worldwide. Robert is a winner of several prestigious international competitions, including John Cage Prize winner (2022), Rosalía de Castro Prize winner (2022) and Pro Music Recipient of the award (2021). In Latvia, he has won the festival’s Sansusi Music Battles Tournament – a unique four -week event in which performers competed in wit, humor and musical virtuosity.
