Rima Pharmacy Cheapest Pharmacy in General Products

RIMA Pharmacy is the cheapest pharmacy in a new comparison of the Price Control of the People’s Union of Iceland.

This is stated in a statement from ASÍ, which states that to Inspection has been other products than medicines, the products found in the store. Borgar Pharmacy and the Pharmacy Cage rejected participation, but on the basis of the data obtained there, they are the second and third most expensive pharmacies in the country.

There may be some differences depending on what products are examined. For example, on average, pharmaceutical choices are 15% more expensive than the cheapest option, but Better You-feeding supplements cost an average of 35% more in Lyfal choice than they are the cheapest-which is usually in Rima pharmacy. On the other hand, New Nordic products were usually the cheapest in drug choices.

Can pay off to compare prices

Various products sold in pharmacies can also be found in discount stores, for example:

· Nivea Eye Cleans (X-Gentle, 125 ml) cost ISK 2,281. in the city of pharmacy but 479 kr. In Bonus, almost five times difference. The product cost one ISK more in the króna than Bonus.

· By My Beard beard jamp cost 1,990 kr. in Iceland pharmacy but 349 kr. In Net, almost six times difference.

· Gillette Cool Wave sweat smells cost just under 1,400 kr. in most pharmacies, but only 598 kr. in Bonus and 599 kr. in the króna.

· Carefree flexi posts cost 286 kr. in Bonus, 287 kr. in the króna, 288 kr. in net and 585 kr. in a Ferma filter.

Pharmacies can in some cases be cheaper than low -price stores, although the difference in that direction is often smaller. Some examples:

· Sea talks, 60 pcs, cost 2,790 kr. in the króna (and still cost) but were (and are) cheaper in all pharmacies that were examined, except for Lyfaval. The cheapest were the tablets in Lyfjaveri at ISK 2,180. but the most expensive in drug choice for ISK 2,855.

· Solaray Once Daily Active Man multivitamin cost ISK 3,061 in Lyfjaveri and has been on it since the fall, if not anymore. During the survey of the survey period, the vitamin cost cost ISK 3,599 in the króna, or just under 18% more, and has since increased to ISK 3,799, which is 24% more expensive than in the drug plant.

· Veet Sensitive High Cold with Aloe Vera cost 2,339 kr. in net but only ISK 1,560. in the West Pharmacy in Olafsvík.

· Better You 5mg Iron Merge costs ISK 2,021. in Rima pharmacy but ISK 2,399. in the króna. Most other Betteryou Munners, however, are cheaper in the króna.

Pharmacy Western not all at the same price

Prices in the West Pharmacy do not appear to have been entirely the same in the three branches in Borgarnes, Akranes and Ólafsvík.

For example, Better You D-Lux 1000IU was 15ml mouthwash sold at ISK 1,493. in Borgarnes on March 13 and at ISK 2,045. in Olafsvík. Better You Magnesium Relax Flakes cost ISK 2,413. in Olafsvík but ISK 1,530 in Borgarnes. On the other hand, Eylíf cost smoother skin & hair 3,419 kr. in Olafsvík but ISK 4,850. in Borgarnes. Sea power cost ISK 2,650. in Olafsvík and ISK 3,543. in Borgarnes.

Of the 148 products compared in Borgarnes and Ólafsvík on March 13, 76 were more expensive in Borgarnes, 33 more expensive in Olafsvík, and 39 at the same price. On average, the store in Borgarnes was 1.2% more expensive than in Olafsvík.

Methodology

Products were compared to at least nine pharmacies. Only a pharmacy that is free of access were taken. The comparison took place from mid -February to mid -March.
