Rijeka has favorites in local elections. Here’s who is Iva Rincic
According to research by the rating of candidates in the results of local elections for the mayor of Rijeka, Iva Rinčić, an independent candidate who led the list of young and partner parties, has the highest support among the respondents.
If the local elections are held today, Iva Rincic would have won 25.5 percent of the vote, making her the most visible candidate to enter the second round. Iva Rincic is an independent candidate for the mayor of Rijeka in the upcoming local elections. She is a university professor and director of the Foundation of the University of Rijeka. She had previously worked at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Studies. She is not a member of any political parties, and in political life she became involved as a city councilor, known for her engagement on the topics of transparency and involvement of citizens in decision -making.
Rincic, as she published in her program, is based on the critique of the city government so far, which she describes as incapacitated and non -transparent. Particularly emphasizes the delays of infrastructure projects, such as works on Adamiceva Street, which were to be completed in September last year and have not yet been completed, which, according to her, made it difficult for citizens to live and brought entrepreneurs in the city center to the brink of existence.
It emphasizes the importance of transparency of Jas’ competitions for all management positions in city companies, with the aim of being run by professional and capable people, not political eligible individuals. He also emphasizes demographic renewal through the construction of favorable apartments for families, new kindergartens, free public transportation for students, students and retirees, and creating quality jobs.
Rincic points out that Rijeka is her home and a source of pride, and that her stagnation of the city hurts. He emphasizes that it is free from the weight of large party structures and that it can work in the interest of citizens. She wants to be a mayor who opens dialogue, listens, learns, connects and acts for every citizen of Rijeka.
The campaign is supported by the Youth Action and the Center party, as well as a number of independent councilors. As an independent candidate, she positions himself as an alternative to the city government so far, with an emphasis on transparency, expertise and involvement of citizens in the management of the city.
