Rigas Traffic will buy 120 new buses / day
« Rīgas satiksme » has announced market research on the purchase of 18 meters of buses, of which 60 are planned for electric cars and 60 – diesel cars.
The purpose of market research is to determine the possible delivery deadlines, technical solutions and indicative costs.
Based on market research results, the procurement procedure will be prepared and announced.
The purpose of market research is to obtain comprehensive information on the new technological solutions offered by the automotive industry, including hybrid options, various active and passive safety systems, autonomous motion elements, remote diagnostic capabilities and other solutions that could be applied to Riga city public transport.
At the same time, delivery terms and indicative costs will also be clarified to ensure the preparation of the procurement documentation.
During the bus procurement market research, « Rīgas satiksme » will also pay special attention to solutions that contribute to more efficient and more sustainable operations of vehicles. Opportunities will be evaluated to introduce alternative solutions for fabric decoration in seats, such as more durable and easier to maintain materials that improve cabin hygiene, facilitate daily cleaning and reduce long -term maintenance costs.
The efficiency of technical maintenance will also be an important factor – the buses must be constructed so that the maintenance is quick, easy and less resourceful. At the same time, market research will evaluate solutions that improve movement safety for drivers and passengers and other road users.
It is planned to address a wide range of possible suppliers – both international bus manufacturers and official dealers in the European Union and beyond.
