Riga Art Week / Day will take place in the capital at the end of May

The aim of the event is to promote cooperation between art institutions, galleries and industry by highlighting the potential of Riga in the map of European cultural events.

The municipality promises that with its program, the festival will address art professionals and other interested parties and provide a platform for contemporary art, cultural life development and public involvement, strengthening the image of Riga as a creative city.

Riga Music Week will take place from November 2 to November 6. It includes concerts and shows, industry conference, panel discussions and workshops, master classes and song writing camp Rigalive.

Music Week focuses on promoting the competition and international visibility of the music industry, strengthening the Baltic music ecosystem.

The municipality believes that these contemporary art events have the potential to attract not only local interested but also foreign tourists

The municipal council has granted co -financing of EUR 75,000 for the Riga Art Week.

The municipality plans to support Riga Music Week events with the same co -financing.
