How to cook yourself?
Ingredients: 500 grams of fresh rhubarb, 250 grams of sugar, 500 milliliters of vodka, 5 teaspoons grated lemon zest (can be replaced with orange peel), 2 teaspoons of vanilla essences.
Rhubarb preparation: Wash and cut into smaller pieces.
Filling jar: arrange rhubarb in a large glass jar, sprinkle with sugar, pour the vanilla essence and add the lemon zest. Pour the vodka so that all the ingredients are covered.
Refresh: The jar is tightened tightly and placed in a dark, cool place for 3 weeks. During the first week, the jar is shaken every day to dissolve the sugar.
After 3 weeks, strain the liquid through gauze or a fine sieve to separate the parts of the rhubarb that will become solid in the meantime.
The resulting liqueurs are filled in clean, dry bottles and behind the cork.
Ripening: Allows the liqueur to stand for another 5-7 days before use to fully develop the flavors.
How do I teach this liqueur?
Serve chilled as an aperitif or add to a sparkling wine or tonic when making a refreshing cocktail.
This liqueur can also be used in desserts, such as pouring over ice cream or fruit salad. It can be used as an ingredient in cake glazes or creams, served with cheese plates to highlight the taste contrasts.
