The deprivation of the able -bodied residents of Estonia of unemployment benefits will become a serious incentive for employment for them, both the unemployed and experts familiar with their problems consider themselves, BNS reports, referring to the material of Rus.postimees.

“If the benefit is no longer paid, this motivates to quickly find a new job after the insurance compensation,” said a resident of South Estonia at the age of a little, who was registered as unemployed and for six months receives unemployment insurance.

According to the current law, after the end of this period, it could receive benefits in the amount of over 400 euros per month for another nine months.

Since the new year, neither more than 8600 unemployed will have such an opportunity, according to the calculations of the Ministry of Economics and Communications.

“I needed a break because I was completely overloaded with work, exhausted and exhausted,” she explained her current status. “I had a choice – to leave for the sick leave or register at the labor exchange.”

Thanks to the great experience, she could get a weekend, so she herself asked the employer to dismiss her to reduce her, and he agreed.

However, having rested, she does not plan to remain unemployed: alone, without money, can not survive.

A resident of Tallinn at the age of forty work, meanwhile, has not been able to find for more than a year. It is called a “long -term unemployed”, to which the unemployment ticket office refers with special care.

According to the current rules, she needs to work only six months in order to receive help from the state again for the next nine months. Although she sent dozens of resumes, a suitable work could not be found. “To take on whatever, it makes no sense for her, since the husband may support the family. The problem remains the lack of medical insurance, which leads to even greater financial losses in case of health problems.

The highest level of registered unemployment is in Ida-Virumaa, where it is 11.1 percent.

The head of the local department of the unemployment box office, the anneki teelahk, believes that the changes in the rules for paying benefits will benefit: “They will shake people and push them to search for work.”

“One of the reasons why people have been unemployed for a long time – they fell into the trap of benefits,” Teelakh said. “We are increasingly seeing entire families on accounting.” According to her, the study among the long -term unemployed last year showed that the main reasons were health problems and poor knowledge of the Estonian language – it recognized these reasons really serious.

But there were those who admitted: they work unofficially or perfectly live on the salary of their spouse.

“The unemployment ticket office is not a punitive organ. Our task is to help a person find a job and help the employer find an employee,” Theelahk argues. “We are doing everything to support, help and motivate so that a person gets a job or approaches this. Studies do not always need to give a fish, we must give a fishing rod. I always believed that active measures help.”

As of May 15, 6849 unemployed were registered in Ida-Virumaa. This is 529 less than in the same period last year, Theelahk emphasizes.
