Revenue from antiquity lottery will be granted to the Dome Church and the Monastery Ensemble for Conservation / Day

« Conservation and renewal of Latvian cultural heritage is a long -term contribution to our identity, public education and the future of the country. Financial support for preserving cultural heritage requires careful planning and a thoughtful approach, especially in the budgeting process, which is not easy in these times. For the work, clear criteria have been developed at the moment, which will ensure the use of a transparent, fair and targeted lottery in the revenue of revenue for the restoration of cultural heritage, ”explains Minister of Culture Agnese Lace.

In accordance with the approved, cultural heritage object approved by the working group to allocate Antiquity lotteries Funding must meet the following criteria:

• is a cultural monument of national importance,
• is a nationally and internationally important object, has a symbolic role in Latvia and European culture and is used for cultural, education, science and tourism goals,
• The object is under threat due to technical condition and requires urgent restoration and rescue work,
• At the same time, this object is publicly available to the public and has a high degree of preparedness of the planned restoration work (coordinated project documentation at the National Cultural Heritage Board (NKMP),
• And maintaining it requires a large financial investment to make sequential, continuous work, which provides the long -term impact of the invested funds on the object and the cultural heritage industry.

The Working Party also rely on the opinion of the NKMP in which the NKMP identifies the Dome Church and the monastery ensemble as the most appropriate object for granting the national lottery of the national lottery to ensure the conservation and restoration of this national cultural monument.

“The National Cultural Heritage Board, assessing objects according to the criteria already mentioned, as well as in addition to the laws adopted by certain cultural monuments, which ensures the preservation and protection of their cultural and historical value, decided to direct the national architectural monument to the Riga Dome Church and Monastery ensemble. For the restoration of communications to ensure the preservation of the Riga Dome Church and the Monastery ensemble, ”says Inara Bula, Head of NKMP.

“Since the 15th century, the main goal of lotteries in Europe has been to generate funds for the public, and it is still a recognized and highly appreciated mechanism in Europe and the world to fulfill the needs of society in different areas.
