Retired professor with a false signature up to two apartments: ‘I just signed N. with a notebook’

Zagreb police have arrested three people on suspicion of being abducting apartments in Zagreb on a suspicion of older citizens in Zagreb. Unofficially, it is a retired professor Mirjana Sokol-Mukic (79), which he first wrote about Jutarnji List. Apart from her, the suspects are MM, the owner of the agency who bought an apartment from Sokol-Mukic, and managed to enroll in him, and MZ, the daughter of a professor, otherwise dentist per profession.

It all started from the advertisements published by the victim of the ND, 90, and to whom she was looking for someone to help her with medical examinations and drive to the hospital with a financial fee. Socol-Mukic appeared on her advertisement, who was victiming on several occasions and vehicles for various examinations. On this occasion, we learn, she also signature with various medical records and sought her personal documents. It is suspected that she managed to get an ID and signature of the victim in a fraudulent way. After receiving her signature, she forged him at a gift contract, stating that the victim of Sokol-Mukic leaves his two real estate, two apartments for which Jutarnji List wrote in the center of Zagreb and Tresnjevka.

Due to the suspicion of fraud DORH launched an investigation against Sokol-Mukic, her daughter and mm, and it is suspected that the criminal offenses were committed from October 2022 to April 2025. Unofficially, the professor denies that she cheated on anyone, but admitted that the notary was signed with the victim’s name! The graphological expert witness also established that the signature on the gift contract was forged, but despite everything, the victim must seek justice at the Zagreb Municipal Civil Court.

Namely, after forging the gift contract, Socol Mukic tried to sell the apartments. The victim also realized that something was wrong when there were notifications that more people tried to enroll in her property. The court rejected most of the requests, but to an apartment in the center managed to enroll in MM, which seeks a refund from Sokol-Mukic.

The two of them are slowing around the second apartment on Tresnjevka, who sold Sokol-Mukic to third parties. Until the investigation is determined by certain facts, the suspects have been determined by an investigative prison, MZ so that it can not influence witnesses, mm because of the risk of repetition of the act, while the Professor is accepted by a proposal to be at a home investigative prison. Also, since there were more people who claim that they were cheated by a retired professor is not excluded that the investigation will spread to other cases. At least two similar fraud is mentioned.
