Vytautas came to the engineering world through a diverse experience in studies and at work, but admits that his childhood hobby helped to construct the right way of life.

« In my childhood, I put on small structures, now my projects are much bigger, » smiles Vytautas at the construction site.  » – that I would be an engineer, I knew maybe in eighth grade. I liked the exact sciences, willingly participated in the Olympics. You know what is doing and what is fascinating, the choice of studies does not become tricky, ”said Vytautas.

He adds that he has chosen several engineering studies at the then Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, and has grossed both undergraduate and master’s degree. From those days, the interlocutor was best remembered by a math lecturer, who marveled the students with phenomenal memory and could know the names of the youngsters and in a few years. « Her classic phrase, ‘If you work honestly – you go far. If you simulate – you will not achieve anything, » he named the essential thing – the importance of effort in life in general. I can testify that this is a hundred percent truth. ”

There were no challenges

Vytautas gathered a state -owned road maintenance company on the roads on the road, but did not take long – life tilted the young road engineers to Kauno Tiltai, where he was offered to be responsible for the safety and quality of work.

« I also met in almost ten years spent in this position, gaining experience that allowed me to see and evaluate the objects under construction, and the behavior of people, » the work manager recalled.

However, after receiving an offer to become a master in the same company, the interlocutor did not hesitate because he felt he was preparing for it all the time. In his work portfolio V. Gramauskas has already accumulated solid projects – the reconstruction of the roundabout of Baltijos Avenue -Šilutė highway with the construction of the ramps, the viaducts built at Kaunas Kleboniškis Bridge, the object in Sweden. In the latter, Vytautas not only took unexpectedly from planned several months to 2.5 years, but also turned from the road to the construction of bridges.

« I was determined to understand the drawings, the specifics of the bridge construction – after all, it’s the same engineering, and I already had the basics and perception. With my colleagues, I learned a lot, so the first great constructors in my life came abroad, » he smiled.

Finds time for bees

V. Gramauskas is convinced that the builders of the work and bridges will not work in the future. The roads are worn, viaducts, bridges require constant maintenance, reconstruction or new construction solutions. « You can build a lot of roads, build dozens of bridges, but each of them will require a unique solution. And of course you see a real, tangible result that (and most importantly!) Is not needed for you personally but for society as a whole. The solution will still be. ”

By the way, engineers not only work a lot. Vytautas, who is raising twins with his wife, finds time to care for and expand his more than 80 families. This hobby gradually began to give extra income and, of course, lets you relax from work on the facilities due to its volume and time.

The hunger and desire of knowledge

Vitas Štreimikis, a master of AB Kauno Tiltai, the energyist seems to do everything himself without having to energy. The 22-year-old Jurbarkis always embraced many and different activities in one go, finding time for hobbies, sciences, friends and continuous development.

As far as he remembers, his greatest sympathy at school gathered physics, chemistry lessons, and even drawing classes. « Unlike many graduates, I chose the field of study at the then Kaunas Technical College (now Lithuanian College of Engineering). The auto -transport electronics was a logical solution because I really liked cars, motorcycles, various techniques and related rebuses. It is mentioned that the lecturers here are fantastic, supporting and creating a mutual equivalent, respectful relationship. ” Vitas sought to learn and experience different things from a young age. Having attended a music and art school for eight years in Jurbarkas, the young man outperforms his fingers to play five instruments. There were also time for school self -government activities, friends, « Benzingalvis » hobbies, motorcycle, and he created financial independence from adolescence by working as an environmental planner, lawn supervisor.

The revolutions V. Štreimikis did not reduce and became a student: « In the final course of study, not only did I write the final bachelor’s thesis, but I also entered the electricity program in the same college in parallel. The interlocutor states that the human orchestra lifestyle and, most importantly, are the result of a great desire to experience professional challenges and inconvenience. In addition, I received a great first baptism – I met a lot of construction in a giant Kruonis Provisional Connection project. This work is dynamic and requiring fast -paced colleagues, non -standard but growing situations – what more we want to? I feel like being in my sleigh, ”the energyist smiled.

There are no ambitions

Speaking of his specialty, Vitas mentions her inexhaustible prospects. The energy field is wide, offering a variety of alternatives, responding to current issues. For example, the energy of renewable resources, the rapid development of electrification in transport infrastructure. In addition, it is also viewed in the near future, when, according to European requirements, electricity as a source of energy in certain areas will be mandatory.
