Residential building caught fire, then the electricity was turned off
Great excitement on Tuesday in Boos (Landkreis Unterallgäu): The top floor of a house on Babenhausener Strasse burned completely. The fire brigade, police and emergency services were on site with a large contingent.
On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, an emergency call was made by the police at around 11.45 a.m.: On a building on Babenhausener Strasse, it smoked out of the roof. When the fire brigade came, the top floor of the house was already in full fire, says Christian Lindstedt, spokesman for the South/West police headquarters.
Brand in Boos today: six people brought to safety
The building has already been evacuated – according to Lindstedt, there were a total of six people. Everyone is now safe outdoors. Two of them are currently being examined whether they have suffered flue gas poisoning.
The passage in Boos was completely closed in the area of Babenhausener Straße. The fire brigade was employed by extinguishing work until the afternoon. In the meantime, the network operator had to park the electricity for the entire town because a line led over the burning house.

« After the network operator had taken the affected object from the power grid, the remaining households had a power supply again, » said the police. The police estimate the damage at 200,000 euros. The police appealed to all residents in Boos, windows and doors during the fire, says Lindstedt.
