Reservists of three counties will be summoned to military units
Mobilization exercise in Olt, Giurgiu and Teleorman counties.
The General Staff of Defense organizes, between 26-31 May 2025, in Olt, Giurgiu and Teleorman counties, the training exercise for assessing the mobilization reserve-Mobex OT-GR-TR-25, informs Ministry of Defense.
According to the quoted source, the exercises of this type are planned and carried out periodically and aim to verify the capacity to complete with personnel and technical of the military units, as well as the consolidation of the cohesion between the military in activity and reservists.
In order to carry out the exercise, the MAPN structures will collaborate with the local public administration authorities, with the public institutions and with the economic operators in the three counties, which have attributions in the field of preparing the economy and the territory for defense.
The reservists with their domicile in the counties of Olt, Giurgiu and Teleorman who will be convened at the military units of the MApN to whom they are shaped will participate, for one day, according to planning, in specific training activities.
Mobex OT-GR-TR-25 continues the series of such activities organized by the General Staff of Defense. The latest ones took place in October 2024, in Buzău and Ialomița counties. Previously, such exercises were carried out in Olt county in 2017, and in Giurgiu and Teleorman counties in 2016.
The exercise is organized in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 477/2003 regarding the preparation of the national economy and the territory for defense. The reservists will be convened through the specialized structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the MApN shows.
To avoid misinformation and false news that could be spread to these activities that, the ministry reiterates that they are routine and are not related to the security situation in the region.
