Researched after breaking the ballot
Five notifications of possible illegal facts regarding the voting process were registered by the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI), the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Monica Dajbog, informed.
According to the official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Constanta, a citizen residing in Romania called the unique emergency number 112 and complained that the representatives of the polling station did not allow him to exercise his right to vote with the passport. The citizen was sanctioned contraventionally for the abusive appeal of the emergency number 112.
In the town of Moreni, Dâmboviţa county, research is carried out in the case of a citizen who, unhappy that on the ballot was not the person he sympathized with, he left the voting booth, broke the ballot and thrown on the electoral commission table. It is investigated for destruction of documents.
Also, at a polling station in Busteni, checks were carried out regarding a case of shooting of the ballot, but the deed was not confirmed.
In Ilfov, checks are carried out in a case of continuation of the electoral propaganda, and in a locality in Mehedinti county the police were notified about the fact that a candidate is posted near the polling station. On the spot was moved the operative team that found that the notified ones are not confirmed.
« Since the beginning of the voting, the SMURD and ambulance services crews have managed eight medical cases. The eight people – two members of the electoral commission and six voters, have been medically evaluated on the spot, but for four it was necessary to transport the hospital, » Dajbog said.
She added that in the following hours the herds will continue the missions to maintain public safety throughout the country, especially in the area of polling stations, for the voting process to run smoothly.
