Action of « The Dead by the Jakobsweg »: that’s what the ARD thriller is about
At Cabo Fisterra, a Cape on the west coast of Galicia, two pilgrims discover a body of women. This is Sofía Serrano, an employee of the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage office. The Cabo Fisterra is the end of the Jakobsweg and thus the goal of many pilgrims.
Before that, chief commissioner David Acosta had worked as an investigator in Valencia and was now transferred to the Galicia region. The find of the dead on the Jakobsweg is his first case in his new office. During the investigation, the policeman trio, consisting of Acosta, Martinéz and Navarro, joins the pilgrim Carmelo Perrez, who reveals itself as a criminal with a tempter stitch. But Perrez escapes the commissioners, which causes unrest in the team. Militimity Acosta in particular is used to success and is increasingly under pressure.
The actor Michael Epp himself says about his role as the main commissioner Acosta: « David Acosta has a unique flair for tricky cases. He gives everything for his work – and loses the feeling for what is really important in life. »
