Renovated apartment building today: modern, sustainable, comfortable
Resistant to environmental impact, durable and safe
The modernization of the apartment building today is based on a comprehensive point of view: it is no longer sufficient to renovate the outside – it is necessary to determine the overall condition and potential of the house. According to Jurgita Černeckienė, a scientist at Kaunas University of Technology, if the size and planned solutions of the building meet the needs of the residents, the house was maintained and the structures are solid – it is worth renovation.
« It is difficult to say what new construction houses have, what could not be achieved through the renovation of old apartment buildings, » said J. Černeckienė. According to her, the renovated buildings remain durable, safe and durable. Although the layout of old apartments is often not as comfortable as new construction housing, the quality of life can be improved by re -planning spaces. According to the interlocutor, the most important thing is to find out which partitions can be changed, which not, and some of the renovation work can even be included in the renovation process itself.
Efficiently solve the challenges of urban life
As noted by Mantas Šakočius, a member of the Lithuanian Civil Engineering Union, the building needs to be regarded as a solid system and integrated renovation measures to perform quality modernization. That is, to plan quality insulation, modern heating and ventilation systems, heat bridge removal, special attention to tightness, long -lasting, Lithuanian climate building materials.
« New state -funded measures allow not only to improve the energy efficiency of the apartment buildings, but also to the quality of life. The buildings become more visually attractive, rising the value of the dwellings in them, » said
M. Šakočius. According to him, the development of balconies, bicycle storage, electric car charging stations, cover installation helps solve urban comfort, ecology and security challenges.
It is possible to transform according to today’s standards
According to Džiugas Lukoševičius, an architect living in Malme, apartment buildings of the Soviet era are a sign of a certain era. To preserve the trace of such construction in the structure of the city means to maintain the continuity of history and the urban diverseness, which has its own value and role. Such apartment buildings are not Lithuania’s uniqueness – many European countries such as Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden have this problem.
« The structures that have survived so far can be transformed to meet the quality standards of today’s cities. However, in preparation for renovation, other city functions should be kept in mind: cultural, public, commercial. In Malmia, there are many projects that are redesigned without any old apartment building. It is now a good time to decide for apartment renovation. The invitation of state support for the renovation of state support for apartment buildings for the renovation of apartment buildings in order to renovate B or higher energy performance classes is valid until October 1.
