Renault will produce drones in Ukraine
The French car manufacturer Renault is to be settled in Ukraine to produce drones, according to a report broadcast on Sunday by the radio station Franceinfo.
Specifically, the car manufacturer will be associated with a French SME in the defense industry, whose production lines are located several hundred kilometers from the front line, says Franceinfo.
This is a ‘Win-Win partnership’, LCI Minister of Defense, Sebastien Lecornu, said on Friday, who only said that ‘a big French car producer’, who did not reveal the identity, will conclude a partnership with the Kiev authorities. Sebastien Lecornu appreciated that at this moment, there is no need for French employees to go to Ukraine and work on those production lines.
Contacted by Reuters, a Renault spokesman said that the French group, who has about 120,000 employees worldwide, does not want to comment on the information in the media.
