Remax with 1.97 billion euros of price volume in the first quarter

In the first three months of the year, Remax registered a price volume of 1.97 billion euros in the first quarter. When compared to an equal period of 2024, the value meant an increase of 35.7%, corresponding to about 19 thousand transactions (+20%).

Regarding the number of transactions traded by district in this first quarter, Lisbon continues to lead the top 10 with 33.5%. Here are the districts of Porto (13.5%), Setúbal (10.5%), Braga (7.3%), Coimbra (4.9%), Aveiro (4.5%), Faro and Santarém (4.3%each), Leiria (3.9%) and Viseu (2.7%). In total, the 10 national districts representing 89.4% of the properties traded by the network in this period.

In a statement, the Imobliária states that the “Lisbon District has lost weight in the national group, and in the first three months of 2025 was the district of Setúbal the one that registered the highest increase, exceeding 10% of transactions at the national level”.

With regard to nationalities, the Portuguese accounted for 79%of purchases, followed by Brazilians (6.2%), Americans (1.8%) and Angolans (1.6%). According to the note, « Brazilian nationality lost weight after a few consecutive years of increase. Already the Americans, although slightly, reinforced their position as second foreign nationality with greater weight in the number of transactions. »

In this first quarter of 2025, the apartments and houses were the two types of property most marketed, representing 51% and 23.6% of the total. Here the T2 apartments accounted for 21% of the transactions, the T3 apartments about 16.3%, the T3 houses about 9.3% and the T1 apartments had a weight of 9.1% and T2 houses totaled 6.1% of real estate transactions.

Quoted in the statement, the Remax CEO states “the results achieved in the first three months of the year show the excellence of our network and reveal the re/max brand vigor and robustness, which has maintained the highest satisfaction rates of its customers, as well as demonstrated a great dynamic in the domestic market.

According to Beatriz Rubio, « in addition to growth in the various indicators of the sector, when responsible for nearly 19,000 transactions in just three months, in a market where there is a substantial lack of housing offer, Re/Max once again proved its undeniable leadership in the sector. »
