Record frequency of over 15,000 passengers at the Blato GP at the weekend at Debar
At the Macedonian -Albanian border at Debar, the highest frequency has been registered at the weekend, confirming the official statistics of the Ministry of Interior, according to which 15,686 passengers have been recorded at 10am until 10am.

More specifically, 2543 and 4711 Macedonian nationals exited the country. As for foreign nationals, 4964 achieved entry into our country, and 3468 foreign nationals left- Goce Andreevski, MoI spokesman told MIA.
The visibly increased frequency is primarily due to the high temperatures and the departure of our citizens on the Albanian coast and on Saturday due to the large number of fans attending the Albania – Serbia football match.
« All measures are being taken from the Ministry of Interior and all human and technical capacities are put into operation to accelerate the flow of passengers, of course by conducting the mandatory border checks, » Andreevski added.
Due to the increased frequency of passengers and vehicles, and in the interest of passengers, who are increasingly using this border crossing, another control counter has been recently installed, equipped with all the necessary equipment, increasing their number to three and the existing ones are completely restored in order to facilitate the flow.
In the last few years the frequency of this passage has increased, by over 60 percent. It was released for traffic in November 2021 after the construction of the Road to Arbrit (Ruga is Arbrit), which was 80 kilometers from the crossing to Tirana by mid -March, which was a reduction in the distance by hundreds of kilometers. Since mid -March this year, when the Muriz Bridge was released, the distance is even smaller, so from Debar to Tirana it is now reaching for an hour.
