The complete renovation and reconstruction of ambulances, laboratories and specialist cabinets of the Mother Teresa Clinical Center PHI UK Gynecology and Obstetrics in Skopje began today. The reconstruction is in the amount of Denar 29 million, which is expected to create conditions for more efficient diagnostics and treatment of patients.

Director of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic, Irena Aleksioska Papestiev, noted that this investment will reconstruct and renovate the plateau in front of the clinic itself, the waiting rooms, the clinic, the laboratories and the specialist cabinets, in order, in order, in order to get more accessible to the clinic.

-In order to promote health services, as well as improve the health care of women in our country we announce a significant investment at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic. There is a high frequency at our clinic. The largest maternity ward with about four thousand births, minimal to complex gynecological operations that are about 5 thousand and 73 thousand specialist and subspecialist examinations. This whole frequency, as well as non -maintenance care for maintenance, announces the need for an investment of 29 million denars, which will be realized by the end of this year – said the Director of Gynecology.

Aleksioska Papestiev informed that for better quality of protection for the woman, they allowed the list of waiting lists by procuring equipment of minimal invasive surgery worth 32 million denars, which, as he pointed out, allows the patient to drop home and thus reduce the waiting list.

The director announced that they are working on investing and making a modern modern in vitro center.

-The Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics has always introduced the latest modern techniques and diagnostic and therapeutic, so in 2000 the first in vitro was done in our country and the first in vitro baby was born in 2000 at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic. Unfortunately, four years has not been done in vitro at our clinic, but since November 2024 it has begun to work again with the government and the Ministry of Health’s program We all know that it is in falling – said Aleksioska Papestiev.

Prime Minister Christian Mickoski expressed gratitude to the staff, doctors, medical staff, all who are part of the public health, who are part of this clinic, who, as he said, given the conditions in which they work – make superhuman efforts to do something more for both citizens and for public health.

-We as a government, we will continue to invest and help, of course, as much as we can. This year the fund’s budget, if compared to that budget, say Kovid year 2020, 2021 is for some 18 billion denars higher, it is about 300 million euros, which is a significant amount. Is it enough? It’s never enough. But if you have a nearly 900m euros in budget, then it’s something that is important, because 53 billion denars is the budget. You know that salaries have increased for both medical staff and technical medical staff for doctors. So and we will continue, we have a dynamic that has been established – he said.

He emphasizes that part of the project, which will be implemented together with the Government of the United Kingdom, will be focused on health, and who expects if the conditions are favorable to culminate in the construction of a Clinical Center in Skopje.

-So that a clear strategy, defined goals where we need to reach, strong government support for public health, because it is in the interest of the citizens. And once again, to thank all those who are part of public health- for what they do for the citizens- said Mickoski.
