The Growing Agency decided to suspend the permit of a childcare in Middelkerke with urgent necessity. In recent days, five serious complaints have been received about, among other things, cross -border behavior. The Agency for privacy reasons cannot spend more details about the circumstances.

Reception eighteen children

In the daycare there is room for eighteen children and they can no longer go to the daycare. « We realize that this has a major impact on all those involved. Yet it is important to emphasize that this decision has been taken in the interest of the safety of the babies and toddlers that are taken care of there. Together with the municipality of Middelkerke, we are now making every effort to look for a shelter for all the children who were caught there, » says the agency.

The shelter has room for eighteen children. The municipality is looking for a solution for them. « In the first place, for the children who are currently being taken care of, we have to provide a new reception location. This has our greatest priority. In addition, parents who were on the waiting list of the childcare relevant can look for a new reception location. » says Ethel De Blieck (LDD), ships of childcare in Middelkerke. « As a municipal administration, we can, if necessary, open a emergency location and provide material, but we do not currently have the necessary staff to be able to provide a high -quality and fully -fledged service. »

The suspension runs for the time being until July 14. The parents involved have already been informed.
