From 16 to 22 June, the Fedasil reception centers open their doors for World Refugee Week. The program contains numerous activities, all of which are dominated by meeting and exchange, reports organizer Fedasil.

During the World Refugee Week, the Fedasil reception centers open their doors wide: they organize activities and invite the public to learn more about the process that refugees travel, it is. « From Charleroi about Liège, Ghent or Bastogne to Ostend: everywhere the Fedasil teams, together with the residents, offer moments of meeting and exchange. »

Some of the reception centers are transformed into a ‘living library’ for the occasion. The visitors can talk to « a living book: one of our residents who shares an inspiring story in a one-to-one conversation ».

The residents and staff of Fedasil also designed six cards, which will be distributed in different places. « For example, people can share a warm message with their loved ones or with residents, by post or QR code, » it says.
In addition, the portraits of eight residents of Brussels reception centers will be hung in various places in and around Brussels. They took the photographer to a place in the city that means a lot to them. The photos and accompanying QR code tell their story.
