Reality star and holiday park magnate Peter Gillis has to go to jail for six months

Peter Gillis has been convicted of, among other things, renting out chalets, destroying administration and not making a tax return. The Public Prosecution Service in the Netherlands had demanded a prison sentence of eighteen months, six of which were conditional. Gillis and his companies were suspected of tax fraud, the incorrect feeding and storage of administration, providing incorrect information to the Dutch tax authorities and not making a tax return on time.
According to the judge, Gillis was the « all -determining and steering force behind the fraud ». Gillis’ daughter and ex-wife were also suspected of involvement, which the judge considered proven. They received a community service of 240 hours and 120 hours respectively, as well as a suspended prison sentence of six months.
Multiple lawsuits
