Ready for the TV action 2025:-This means a lot to us
In October it breaks loose for the most important day of the year, the TV campaign! This year, the money goes to the Atlas alliance, and for us in the Norwegian Disability Association Youth (NHFU) this is a matter that really hits the heart.
The Atlas Alliance works to strengthen the rights and life situation of people with disabilities in some of the world’s most vulnerable areas. It is about access to school, health services, work, and not least the right to be seen, heard and taken seriously. These are rights we at NHFU are fighting for every single day here at home, and now we get the opportunity to contribute globally.
And this year, the money from the TV campaign will go to schooling, health services and relief, as well as aids such as school books with Braille, wheelchairs and dentures. We will give 200,000 people with disabilities and their families in Palestine, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Nepal, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia a better life.
This year’s TV campaign is about providing opportunities, breaking barriers and lifting the voices of people who are all overlooked too often. And for us in NHFU, who works for just this every single day, it feels both important and natural to get involved. Together we open doors.
