Three masked people committed a ram crack on Sunday morning at a gas station in Honnelles, in the province of Hainaut. The Bergen public prosecutor reports this.
The robbery was committed with a car that was stolen on Saturday evening in Saint-Symphorien, in Bergen. With that car, the suspects drove on Sunday morning on a vending machine with which you can pay money with cash in a Total filling station in Honelles, not far from the French border. Then they loaded the machine in their car and fled.
When leaving the gas station, they drove a different car, according to the public prosecutor. They then drove on to Dour and set fire to the stolen vehicle in a small dead -end street. The machine stolen from the gas station, which weighs between 100 and 150 kilos, was no longer in the burnt -out vehicle. The estimated loot of the ram squat is between 2,000 and 2,500 euros. The forensic team arrived.
According to the public prosecutor’s office, the operandi modus was the same as with a burglary in Saint-Symphorien a week ago. The robbers, who were clearly « professionals », knew on Sunday where they had to go without being noticed, because they avoided the roads equipped with speed cameras and surveillance cameras between Honnelles and Dour. Only the images of the camera at the gas station can be used for the police.
