RAKUS Stationary Gailezers Repair closed and Fitting the premises / day was started
Construction works are currently closed in the RAKUS reconstructed 9th and 10th rooms, including the construction of various engineering systems for ventilation, climate control, electricity and low -voltage connections, as well as nursing items and medical gas supply.
Currently, medical equipment, medical equipment and furniture are located according to the project, as well as landscaped staff and patient rooms. Testing of built engineering systems has also been started.
With the completion of the 9th and 10th housing repairs, the reconstruction of the « Latvian Oncology Center » (LOC) is planned to be rebuilt.
Patients of oncological diseases will be temporarily transferred to the 9th body, while the reconstruction of the LOC will be reconstructed and the surgery. The transfer process could be started no earlier than this summer.
In the 10th, on the other hand, there will be separately constructed intensive care rooms, operating block and rooms with minor oncological manipulations. The premises for it will be close to the 9th body, providing various medical manipulations, such as dermatological or surgical, convenient, more convenient performing.
The tenth -body intensive care room will provide additional capacity and modern equipment, which will also provide easier manipulation and diagnostic examinations for more difficult -to -move patients.
After completion of the LOC repairs, oncological patients will be moved back to the LOC chambers from the 9th body.
The « Gailezers » inpatient « Corps 9 and 10, is funded by the European Regional Development Fund, accounting for approximately EUR 38 million. Currently, movable equipment is located indoors and costs a separate section. The total cost will be clarified after the completion of the works and commissioning.
Several development projects are implemented at the Eastern Hospital. The opening of the hospital’s expanded radiology center is scheduled for April 22.
The new phase of the construction of the new lung and infectious disease building is currently completed with the evaluation of applicants for applications to implement a certain amount of work within the set time limit and to use the European Union (EU) recovery and resilience mechanism plan.
It has already been reported that a number of large -scale development projects are being implemented at the Eastern Hospital, including the creation of a new Radiology Center and the reconstruction of the stationary « Gailezers » two -blocks so that after completion it can be successfully launched in the hospital « Latvian Oncology Center » building and rebuilding and rebuilding.
RAKUS previously informed that four applications from Latvian construction companies and their associations had been received for the construction of infectology and lung disease.
It is planned that the construction work will be started by the end of this year after the detailed construction project coordination. They are planned to be completed by the end of 2027.
The new hospital building has been developed in the minimum composition of the Finnish architect company « AW2 Architects Oy », which specializes in the design of medical institutions. The implementation of the project will be partially funded by the funds of the EU recovery and the resilience mechanism.
