Rain and storms alert 15 autonomous communities, three of them with important risk | Spain
The State Meteorology Agency (Aemet) has activated orange levels (important risk) for storms in Aragon, Castilla-La Mancha and the Valencian Community. In these same communities and another twelve the notice is yellow (risk) by rains, with accumulations of up to 40 liters per square meter in some areas. These are the notices for this Friday, by communities:
Communities with important risk
Aragon. The orange alert affects Teruel by storms, which can be accompanied by wind gusts greater than 70 kilometers per hour and hail greater than 2 centimeters. The notice is yellow due to accumulated rainfall of 20 liters per square meter in an hour. There is also yellow level due to rains and storms in the provinces of Huesca and Zaragoza, where rainfall can leave accumulations of between 15 and 20 liters in an hour and storms can be accompanied by hail.
Castilla-La Mancha. Albacete, Cuenca and Guadalajara have activated the orange notice for storms in various areas, where they can be accompanied by hail greater than 2 centimeters and very strong wind gusts. In Ciudad Real and Toledo, yellow notice for storms and throughout the community for accumulated precipitation in an hour of 15 liters per square meter.
Valencian Community. The notices affect Valencia and Castellón. The storms activate the orange alert inside Valencia, which can be accompanied by wind gusts greater than 70 kilometers per hour and hail greater than 2 centimeters, as well as in southern Castellón, where the level is yellow. As for the rains, yellow warning also inside Valencia due to accumulated rainfall of 20 liters per square meter in an hour.
Regions at risk by rains
Andalusia. Huelva has a yellow warning for rains up to 15 liters in an hour and by storms, which can be accompanied by hail and wind, with maximum streaks of 70 kilometers per hour. In the province of Jaén the same notice level in Cazorla and safe due to accumulations of up to 15 liters in an hour and storms that can be accompanied by hail greater than two centimeters.
Asturias. Yellow notice for rains and storms, with accumulations of 15 liters per square meter in an hour and storms accompanied by probable hail. The same situation in Cantabria, specifically in Cantabria del Ebro.
Castilla y León. Yellow warning throughout the community, where rainfall will leave accumulated 15 liters per square meter in an hour and storms, which can go with very strong wind and hail with hail.
Catalonia. The yellow level is concentrated on the coast of Barcelona and Tarragona for rains that can leave 20 liters per square meter in an hour and storms.
Estremadura. The risk is concentrated in areas of Cáceres and Badajoz, by accumulated of 15 liters per square meter in an hour and storms that can go with very strong gusts of wind and hail.
Galicia. The accumulated precipitation of 15 liters per square meter activates the yellow warning, like the storms that can be accompanied by probable hail.
Community of Madrid. The forecast of accumulated rainfall of 15 liters per square meter in an hour and the storms, probably accompanied by hail, place the community at a yellow level.
Cantabria. Probable strong storms during the afternoon on the coast with occasional hail.
Murcia region. The yellow warning only affects the Altiplano and Northwest, due to rains with up to 15 liters per square meter in an hour and storms that could be accompanied by hail greater than two centimeters.
Navarra, Basque Country and La Rioja. Accumulated rainfall of 15 liters in an hour and storms that can be accompanied by large hail and very strong wind gusts for the two communities. In Euskadi, the notice is concentrated in Álava.
