Railway crossing in non -security favors. We have a PKP position
The driver who made the recording public, instead of automatic traffic stopping, found an open road and PKP employees working next to the tracks. Surprised and furious, he shouted through the window: « It’s so, fucking, doing? »

The event immortalized in the film shows a situation in which drivers had to assess the safety of travel through the tracks independently, because the security system – that is, tissues and signaling – failed. What’s more, technical work was carried out at the crossing. According to the recording, PKP employees were then responsible for safety in this place – but they did not set any characters, and no one appeared to manually manage the movement. And the train was approaching at full speed.
PKP position on an unsecured ride
In response to media reports and recording from the « Stop Cham » channel, Polish railway lines took the position.
« On June 2, around 3pm there was a factor of devices at a rail and road crossing in the area of Łask. Employees were sent to the place, and according to the procedure, the speed of trains was introduced. Around 16.00, however, there was an incident during which the train drove through the passage in front of the oncoming car.
By decision of the director of the PLK SA security office, a commission was appointed to clarify the circumstances of the incident. Monitoring recordings, system logs and documentation are secured. We will determine whose irresponsible action could lead to a threat to life » – is the position of PKP.
What does the law say? First of all, caution
According to art. 28 Road Traffic Lawthe driver approaching the passage is obliged to exercise special caution, make sure that the rail vehicle does not come and drive the vehicle so that he can safely stop it.
In the Road Traffic Act Art. 28. We read:
1. The driver of the vehicle, approaching the railway crossing and passing through the passage, is obliged to exercise special caution. Before entering the track, he is obliged to make sure that the rail vehicle is not approaching, and take appropriate precautions, especially if the air transparency is reduced due to fog or other reasons.

However, this is a theory. In practice, visibility can be limited – by fog, buildings, vegetation. That is why the journeys are equipped with automatic security: traffic lights and lowered gates.
What to do in such a situation?
Experts recommend that when you notice an oncoming train with a malfunction, keep the vehicle immediately and not enter the tracks. However, if we find ourselves at the crossing and the tolls will start to fall, Leave the vehicle immediately and move away to a safe distance.
In emergency situations, it is worth using the so -called Yellow PLK sticker, placed on each pass. It contains an individual travel number and an emergency number 112, to which you should call to inform the services of a threat.
