The largest rail unions are not communicating on Monday about possible new promotions in the coming weeks. In the coming days they first want to consult the supporters, after consultation with Minister of Pensions Jan Jambon (N-VA) on Monday morning. A new strike starts tonight.
The ACOD Spoor, ACV Transcom and VSOA Spoor trade unions reached a preliminary agreement last week with Minister of Mobility Jean-Luc Crucke (Les Engagés) on, among other things, personnel management, legal responsibilities and the modernization of the status of staff. There was consultation with competent minister Jambon about another large twist point – the pension plans of the De Wever government – on Monday morning.
The unions don’t want to say anything about the conversation on Monday evening. The Jambon cabinet can be heard that it went in a positive atmosphere. The minister reportedly agreed that the rail unions are part of the working group on civil servant pensions.
It is not yet clear whether that is sufficient for the railway unions to stop not stopping it for the time being. They sat together in a common front on Monday afternoon, but do not want to respond yet. The Socialist Spoorbond ACOD Spoor, for example, first planted an internal feedback on Wednesday.
On Monday evening at 10 pm a new 24 -time strike starts at the railway and at many other sectors. Among other things, the nuisance at Brussels Airport will be great.
