Quiet resurrection / day

It has been five years since the former Uniator Church of Jekabpils – the present -day Our Lady of Asylum in the Orthodox Church – I was present for a « moment of truth » – the so -called life surprises that touch the tingle, illuminate and remain in the gold book. The steps loudly echoed in the high vaults, the breath was literally visible, and the sunlight shined in a concentrated beam when Irina refreshed the treasures of the church – fragments from the ancient interior of the church. The bright blue pack crashed and slipped on the floor, revealing unique church flags (Horugvus), gold -plated woodcuts, « God’s eye » and one saint after another. When its coverage outfit was removed from the biggest wrapping and the Archangel Michael slowly appeared on the dark boards, there was a awesome pause of silence. I am excited, Irina’s concern – does her « sweethearts » really seem valuable to her?
