A 22-year-old man was arrested on Saturday after a stabbing at the parking of the Peltri in Pelt. There was a fight after a party in a nearby youth center. The victim was injured, but has already left the hospital.

During a private party in the De Peel meeting center in the Norbertinessenlaan in Pelt in the night from Friday to Saturday, two adults had a fight after a disagreement. Around 3 o’clock the fight continued outside. When a third person, a 19-year-old, wanted to intervene, he was attacked. The perpetrator lashed out several times with a sharp object and the victim was injured.
The police immediately started an investigation and could arrest a 22-year-old suspect. All involved will be interrogated. On Saturday morning, traces were also searched for at the location of the facts.

The precise circumstances are being investigated even further, but the judicial lab was busy on Saturday morning at the parking lot of the Peltri department store in Pelt. The sharp object that was used during the fight would have been found there.
