According to Rolandas Marcinkevičius, expert at the Climate Neutrality Division of the Environmental Project Management Agency (APVA), the longer life cycle of the building is determined by the renovation of facades, roofs, floors and engineering systems. At the same time, the most common problems in engineering systems are outdated, non -automized heat points and ineffective pipelines. Another crucial problem is the worn -out plumbing and wastewater infrastructure. Old, rusty or severely worn pipelines often cause emergency situations. Outdated ventilation systems and non -compliant electrical installations are also problematic.
