Putin « would benefit » from the US withdrawal from the peace negotiations
Russian President Vladimir Putin would « benefit » from a possible US withdrawal from Ukraine’s peace negotiations, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski on Monday, AFP reports.
« It is essential for us all that the United States does not distance themselves from negotiations and the search for peace because the only one that would benefit from it would be little, » Zelenski said on social networks after a telephone summons between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
New US sanctions imposed on Russia would be « decisive » in terms of its ability to continue invading Ukraine, Zelenski also said, stressing that a « hard work » to convince Washington at a time when Donald Trump wants to normalize US and Russia.

Ukrainian and Russian representatives met on Friday in Turkey, a meeting whose only tangible agreement was the exchange of 1,000 prisoners of war on each party and the promise to exchange lists with conditions for a possible cease.
