Putin thanked Kim Jong-un for North Korean troops’ participation in fighting in the Kursk area
The Kremlin’s official website today released a statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which he expressed his gratitude to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, for the participation of North Korean troops on Russia’s fight in the Kurish area.
Putin’s statement comes after North Korea first publicly acknowledged that it had sent its troops to fight Ukrainian forces on Russian territory.
– In breaking the neo -Nazi formations of the Kiev regime, which have entered our territory, units of the Corean People’s Army participated – in full compliance with international law and the agreement on a comprehensive strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the Korean People’s Democratic Republic of 19. Especially under Article 4 of the Agreement, which provides for urgent military assistance in the event of an armed attack on one of the parties – Putin said in a statement.
– Corette friends acted from a sense of solidarity, fairness and true friendship. We appreciate this highly and we are honestly grateful to the President of State Affairs, Comrade Kim Jong-un, as well as the entire leadership and the people of the KNDR-the Russian president said.
Putin added that « the Russian people will never forget the feat of Korean fighters from special units » and that « will always honor the heroes who gave their lives to Russia and the common freedom, along with Russian comrades. »
« We are confident that the relationships of friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation between our countries, solidified on the battlefield, will continue to successfully and dynamically develop in all areas, » Vladimir Putin said in a statement.
