Putin and Trump discuss Israeli-Iranian clashes and Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump discussed the clash between Iran and Israel today – Kremlin senior foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov said.
« Russian Federation President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has just held another telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, » Ushakov said.
« Putin has condemned Israel’s military operation against Iran and expressed serious concern over the possible escalation of the conflict, which would have unpredictable consequences for the entire Middle East region, » he added.
Putin, according to Ushakov, informed Trump about yesterday’s telephone conversations he had with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Iranian President Massoud Pezeskian.
The conversation emphasized Russia’s readiness for eventual mediation. Putin also confirmed Moscow’s willingness to continue negotiations with Ukraine after June 22.

This is the fifth phone conversation between Putin and Trump after the US president returned to the White House. The last conversation was on June 4, and today’s about 50 minutes.
