Public lesson offered by the experts of the Balti Legal Clinic – the angle – see the world as it is!
The beneficiaries of the Elders' Club in Ungheni recently participated in a public lesson offered by the experts of the legal clinic in Balti, Andrei Tabarcea and Ion Dănoi.
They presented the activity of the association and its main purpose: to facilitate access to justice for disadvantaged categories, including the elderly. « We are working especially in the north of the country, but, at the initiative of the director of the Elder Club in Ungheni, Rodica Guțu, I also came here. We offer free legal support to those who need guidance in various legislative fields ”, explained Andrei Tabarcea. The event addressed the essential aspects of successor law, such as the types of inheritance, the rights of the heirs, the acceptance or renunciation of the inheritance and the legal procedures for registering the properties. « Many do not know the legal ways of success, and the legislative changes in recent years have brought even more unclear. We come for free in support of those who need such information ”, said Ion Dănoi, university lecturer and doctor in law.
In addition to the successor law, the experts also spoke about other areas in which the legal clinic activates: promoting and defending human rights, combating trafficking in human beings, preventing domestic violence and corruption, but also equality.
The participants asked questions and benefited from free legal consultations, clarifying problems they are facing in legalization. « It was a productive session. We received clear answers to our questions, especially since the legislative changes of 2019 have put us in difficulty ”, confessed Raisa, one of the beneficiaries.
Rodica Guțu, the director of the Elder Club, emphasized the importance of collaborating with the Legal Clinic: “This initiative demonstrates our commitment to the community. We hope to continue this cooperation to provide legal support to those who need it. ”
The activity was carried out within the « Access to Justice » program, financed from Sweden's resources.
