PSD is craving for prime minister: I won the elections « 

The PSD should, in a normal way ‘, have the first chance to give the prime minister in the new government, given the result of last year’s parliamentary elections, Sorin Grindeanu said on Saturday.

‘PSD can claim the position of prime minister. We just wait, but we certainly don’t say no, at such a scenario. That is, in a normal way, PSD should have the first option in having the prime minister. The Romanians decided in December, the PSD was in the first place. This does not mean that we do not respect the duties of the president who consults the parties and, after that, he sees what would be a solution that could lead to a stable majority in Parliament. I believe that in this form we must judge, not neglect and fleeing the responsibility given by the Romanians. I repeat, I won the elections in December last year, « said Grindeanu, in a show at Primatv.

He did not confirm that he no longer wants the position of Minister of Transport, nor that the portfolio should remain at the PSD, claiming that he would not want to see a person in that position to specialize in the workplace.

‘I did not say that (that he no longer wants to be Minister of Transport). I said that, after a number of years, this wear appears, even if everyone tells you that you have done results, there have been highways, many things have been done in these years. Yes, but you may no longer have the same dynamism as in the beginning. (…) I think I think we have to discuss something else. I would not want to see, how it has been seen too many times in these years, people who come there and do their specialization at work, learn there how to be minister, mechanisms, ‘said Sorin Grindeanu.

The interim president of the PSD added that he does not want political partnerships that last six months, and following some games in the PSD Parliament to be no longer part of a majority.

‘I do not want partnerships and my colleagues do not want partnerships that last six months and, after six months, through any games in Parliament, the PSD will no longer be part of a possible majority. We better discuss these things now and we do not confuse ourselves for six months or a year, « explained the PSD leader.
