Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj has published a video dedicated to the capital’s cultural spaces, making a comparison to ten years ago. According to Veliaj, Tirana has been given a new dimension with the development of art and culture spaces, which have turned into key points. “When the citizens entrusted us with the task of running Tirana 10 years ago, the city suffered from a lack of cultural events or spaces dedicated to art. I remember when we brought to Tirana the » new « installation of Sou Fujimoto, which was suspicious by some who did not put a brick in the city, but that unique installation brought a new way of interacting between citizens and art. Studio Kadare-Agolli, a sacred space to get acquainted with two colossus of Albanian letters, has already turned into an inspiration for the younger generations or the art gallery of Tirana, restored, as a new dimension of exposure to contemporary and classic Albanian art.
