One of our challenges, as we came to office in 2015, was how to increase the quality of infrastructure and services on the outskirts of Tirana, to make these areas part of the city’s development. Many of the former municipalities were left unattended, with old roads, without financing and often isolated from Tirana.
But I am proud of what we did in a decade for Ndroqi, Peza, Kashar, Vaqarri, Krraba, Farka, and many other units, already inseparable and important parts of Tirana’s economic life, which have undergone a significant transformation, especially in infrastructure, with new schools and kindergartens, maintained roads.
I want to mention Farka, a neighborhood so close to Tirana, once forgotten, without life, today the test of transformation with new roads like « Agallars », Grori « and » Sheheler « ; dozens of Albanian and foreign athletes;
Farka is no longer « away », but the heart of a Tirana growing up and walking ahead of every day. And we have not finished with the investments there and in every other unit of the city, where there is still a need for work.
