Protests in several US cities over the verbal conflict in the White House
Protests initiated by the verbal conflict and a suspended meeting between US President and Vice President Donald Trump and Jay Di Vance and Ukraine President Volodimir Zelenski were held in several US cities yesterday.
Hundreds of protesters gathered in Watesfield, Vermont, where Vance is skiing with their family. Although the protest was planned early next week, organizers said many people had decided to come after seeing Trump and Vance's behavior at the White House.
Protesters carried banners « Vermont is with Ukraine » and « international shame » and waving Ukrainian flags.
Protests were also organized in other US cities, including New York, Los Angeles and Boston, where hundreds of people took to the streets in support of Ukraine and Greenski.
In Los Angeles County, protesters gathered outside the SpaceX building, while Boston organized an « emergency rally » under the slogan « Just Peace for Ukraine ».
There were also protests in front of the Tesla Sales Center, owned by Ilon Musk, with nine people being arrested,
Protesters in New York voted against mass layoffs of US civil servants on the order of the Department of Government Efficiency (Dogo), which was previously in charge of Musk.
Protests under the motto « Let's overthrow Tesla » were also held in Jacksonville, Florida, Tucson, Arizona, as well as in other US cities. Protesters have blocked traffic on the boulevards in the exhibition centers, chanting « No Dictators in the United States » and « Save Democracy ».
