Protests in Nis, tens of thousands of people on the street, call for a big gathering in Belgrade on March 15
Tens of thousands of people are still gathered on several streets in the wider city of Nis at a protest called « Student Edict ».
As Serbian media reported earlier, the protest is expected to end at three o'clock in the morning.
There is a large banner at King Milan Square in the city center that reads a « general strike ».
The protest is being held at the call of students, and is supported by bikers, farmers, artists and athletes, and food is being prepared for the Faculty of Law Faculty and is shared for free.
Students at King Milan Square paid tribute to 15 victims in the fall of the Railway Station on November 1 in Novi Sad. Among the dead is Macedonian citizen Vasko Sazdovski.
Students also share leaflets call for a large gathering in Belgrade on March 15th.
Students in Serbia have begun protests and blockades and demand the publication of complete documentation for the reconstruction of the Novi Sad train station; Rejecting charges against students and young people arrested and detained during protests over the demolition of the narrative at the Novi Sad train station; filing criminal charges against attackers and professors and prosecution and increasing the funds from the Serbian budget for material costs of state higher education institutions by 20 %.
