Protesters invaded Trump Tower: 98 Detention! – Cyprus Newspaper
Jewish Voice for Peace (Jewish Voice for Peace) occupied the Trump Tower lobby in New York to protest the detention of activist Mahmoud Khalil, who pioneered pro -Palestinian protests. Police detained 98 protesters.
Student activist Mahmoud Khalil, one of the pioneers of pro -Palestinian protests at Columbia University in the USA, was detained by the US immigration and Customs Protection (ICE) officials.

The Jewish group of approximately 150 people invaded the Trump Tower lobby in New York and called for the release of Khalil.
The activists, mostly wearing red T -shirts, carried foreign currencies written, ın Freed down Mahmoud, liberate Palestine ”and ın fight with the Nazis, not students”. For a long time, the demonstrators who shouted slogans “Özgür Mahmoud, Özgür Palestine” intervened.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) launched an operation after protesters occupied the Trump Tower lobby. Police teams, the demonstrators who entered without permission took into custody with plastic handcuffs.
98 Protestors in custody
NYPD chief John Chell said that 98 protesters were detained within two hours as a result of the intervention.
Chell said that there was no injury, incident or property damage, and that the protesters entered Trump Tower with normal clothes shortly before noon, but they started to take action by wearing protest clothes inside.
The protesters detained were taken away from the scene by putting a large minibus and MTA bus belonging to NYPD. Authorities have announced that the activists are facing the charges of “unauthorized entry”, “blocking government management” and “resisting arrest”.

We will not remain spectators for the attempts to declare everyone who calls the Palestinians and the Israeli government to end the genocide financed by the Palestinians and the Israeli government.
