A protest for the Felix dog was held in front of the Interior Ministry today. Citizens, activists and animal lovers have gathered jointly to seek justice for the killed dog and send a message that animal violence must stop and perpetrators are punished properly.

According to the organizers of the Green Human City, the protest began at 12 noon, and the march continued to the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Criminal Court. The attendees unanimously demanded a maximum prison sentence for Ljube Krstevski and Branko Bilbilovski, suspected of killing Felix.

Protest demands are urgent clearing of the Felix case and imposing a maximum prison sentence for perpetrators, introducing a minimum of one year of mandatory prison sentence for the crime of murder and torture animals, the establishment of local municipal animal protection services, the adoption of a communal police unit.

At the same time, the organizers recalled that there has been a member of the crime of murder and torture of animals in the Macedonian Criminal Code for almost 20 years, but no prison sentence has been imposed so far.
