Prosecutors with closing arguments for the murder of Vanja and Pance

With the closing arguments of the Prosecutor’s Office, the trial of the case for the murder of juvenile Vanja Gjorcevska and Veles from Pance Zezhovski is due to continue today in the Basic Criminal Court Skopje.

The evidence of the trial that began in September 2024 ended at the past hearing.

More people were heard at the trial of the murder of Vanja Gjorcevska and Pance Zezhovski, including the families of the victims, officials, inspectors, acquaintances and associates of the defendant Ljupco Palevski.

The prosecution also conducted material evidence, such as video footage, electronic communication and cases collected from the scene. The defendants said at the beginning of the trial that they did not feel guilty, and the first defendant Palevski claimed through the process that this was a politically mounted process.

The indictment states that Ljupco Palevski, Bore Videvski, Velibor Manev, Vlatko Kesishov and Aleksandar Gjorcevski, together planned the abduction of 14-year-old Vanja in order to force a member of her immediate family to give money for ransom.

The abduction of the damaged Pance Zezhovski in Veles, on the indictment, was intended to force him to give their « Citroen » vehicle to use it to abduct the child in Skopje.

Juvenile Vanja and Pance resident were reported missing on November 27 and 24, and on December 3, 2023, dead were found near Skopje and Veles.
